The concept of Smart Ship is to utilize IoT application services to achieve optimum ship operation in terms of safety and energy efficiency. The target of Smart Ship Application Platform (SSAP) project is to support these IoT application services to access ship equipment data easily and enhance more application services development.
USE CASE
Ship data center (ShipDC) can provide a platform to access ship IoT data based on starndardized ISO format safely, easily and reasonably. With our platform including ShipDC, each provider can utilize ship IoT data much easier and it will enhance development and operation of ship IoT application service.

ISO Standard
SSAP project proposes two ISO formats as follows:
- ISO 19847 : Shipboard data server to share field data on the sea
- ISO 19848 : Standard data for machinery and equipment part of ship
The policy of these standardization is not only to realize our proposed platform but also to corroborate and harmonize with existing or new proposed standard and associated projects.
