HANSHIN LOW SPEED ENGINE

Hanshin Low speed engine is Eco friendly, because, low fuel oil and lub. oil consumption and our engine can be coupled with propeller shaft directly, because engine speed is low. It means gearbox energy loss can be avoided.
We are sub licensee of Everllence B & W low speed 2 stroke engine.
We are manufacturing less than 350mm bore smaller size engine.
Now we have just spec opened 35ME-C type
We　producing a new methanol fuel engine "LA28M".
Methanol has advantages for a marine fuel, especially on main propulsion engines, expected to be alternative fuel, lower CO2, NOx, SOx and PM emission than MDO, liquid under atmospheric conditions, etc.
With methanol fuel, it is eco-friendly and easy to use. Therefore, the initial cost can be reduced more than other alternative fuels such as hydrogen or ammonia.
As for the basic technology of methanol combustion, we already succeeded the demonstration test and confirmed the expected performance in 1989, over 30years ago.
"LA28M" is based on diesel engine "LA28" type, which already has many production records.
"LA28M" uses the next generation fuel and is stable, reliable and reasonable.
